Emre Ramazanoglu: Connecting Noel Gallagher, Lily Allen and Rita Ora

Emre came to London to work as a session drummer and programmer, but after meeting Jim Abbiss broadened his career to include engineering, mixing, production and song writing. He has his own studio in West London in the UK.

What are the main projects you are proud about?

I've literally just finished the new Noel Gallagher Album, some productions for Lily Allen, and mixes for Rita Ora. All MixChecked with MixChecker...

But in general. I have worked for a huge range of artists ranging from David Holmes, Carly Rae Jepson, to Ali Farke Toure, Noel Gallagher, Palma Violets, Tomoyasu Hotei, Sia, Ritual, Jones, Chloe Leone and many more.

I also create soundtracks for Fashion Shows having worked with McQueen, Givenchy, Gucci, Armani, Boss, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Louie Vuitton, Ungaro, Chloe and many more.

What was your first contact Audified software?

It was MixChecker - I use it on every session I do! It's uniquely useful, incredibly well thought through and implemented. I used to use a lot of use lot more sources for checking my mixes, but now it's just my main speakers and MixChecker.

Why so?

Monitoring on different playback systems has always been a crucial part of my production and mixing workflow. MixChecker has revolutionized this process for me by putting everything I need in one instantly accessible, super-friendly box! I used to stream to iPhones and laptops but now I get latency-free instant feedback and I'm really aware of the big difference this has made to my mix workflow! MixChecker is an indispensable tool for me.

What other plug-ins do you like?

I am really fond of the U73b Compressor. It's immediately musical, with great punch and hold, this is my new favourite character compressor. The HPF option lets me keep a vintage flavour with modern full range sonics. I love this plugin!
The U78 Saturator is great. Soft to brutal, easily controllable with the calibration and gain controls and helpfully musical HPF and LPF sections, this is becoming my new go to box for helping seat polite sounds in the mix or really beautifully cooking the edges of guitars and drums!
And I like the TNT Voice Executor. It brings Instant vocal gratification. It's really useful for one click, set and forget vocal treatments. Super Handy on backing vocals for me especially!
