Highlights
Not yet another reverb. Its sound, its control, its look are different than any other reverb on the market.

Loaded with experience
The Synergy R1 quality is based on the experience of the whole Audified team. It is a culmination of everything we have discovered in 20 years of work in the audio industry. Read more about the background of the Synergy R1 value
We have created precise models of vintage devices which include control plug-ins and other solutions for the famous companies in the audio industry. We produce hardware with extreme demands for reliability, which are installed in countless studios in widespread locations. Our team participates in research and teaches audio engineering at a technical university name? We lecture at a leading European music academy where we discuss all aspects of reverberation with talended young musicians with outstanding musical abilities. All this experience is reflected in the Synergy R1.
We continue in our development and we are constantly planning improvements, but there’s no need to spend money on a new unit: The complete firmware including control, indication and reverb algorithms can by updated from the Synergy R1 control application.

Elegant extension
of your API500 collection
Synergy R1 is a module for API 500 series lunchboxes. There is no compromise in the Synergy design although it takes only a small portion of the valuable space in your studio. Read more about Synergy R1 design
You will be surprised by the front panel and its ease of use. The display offers both analog and digital indications of parameter values which are clearly visible even if your rack is located further away in your set up. There is no need to browse through countless parameter pages, all parameter value indicators are visible simultaneously.
The brightness of the display is adjustable, either manually or automatically. You can also turn it off if you prefer. The weakest aspect of all hardware devices are the moving components. But Synergy R1 uses extremely durable ALPS encoders with deep bearing.

Reverb
The Reverb section of R1 is digital. It contains premium quality 24 bit A/D and D/A converters, 32 bit floating point DSP and true bypass function. The DSP offers seven unique hi-end reverb algorithms. They range from Room all the way up to the Tunnel algorithm. They include Hall, Long Hall, Spring or Plate. You may control Pre-delay, Decay and Colour. And the Colour parameter is incredibly powerful - not a simple filter.

Saturator
The analog section contains three switchable premium saturation circuits with Germanium diodes, J-FET transistors and with discrete Op-Amp in the standard socket. You can control the analog gain and the wet/dry ratio from the device or from a connected computer. You can therefore use the R1 unit as a 100% analog saturator or a 100% digital reverb processor, if you wish (and everything else between those 2 worlds).
Ordinary hardware
Modern producers tend to turn their backs to audio hardware effects. Recalling sessions is time consuming so they rather decide to sacrifice their CPU power to plug-ins.
Audified Hardware
But Synergy is different. The USB connection lets you control the device from your DAW, automate it and store its settings within the session. No more papers. No more turning knobs.
Full SW control
Control every single function of the device using software plug-ins or a standalone application. Adjust the automated parameters and they will be recorded in your DAW. It works even independently for multiple tracks, as one Synergy R1 works with many control plug-in instances. Read more about the software control
Each DAW opening the plug-in has access to all Synergy parameters, including the parameters of the analog saturation circuits. DAWs can also save the Synergy internal state in a project. The Total Recall is totally smooth. There is no difference between the comfort of the control of this hardware unit and of a software plug-in. You never lose settings. Even if you don't save the settings to a preset, Synergy R1 remembers the parameters after power is turned off.
The preset storage is quite intuitive. Synergy R1 stores presets either in the hardware unit or in the controlling software. You can use the Synergy Preset Manager to drag and drop presets between the connected unit and the computer drive. This allows easy transfer between projects, DAWs and between Synergy units. Sharing internal presets is also easy. Each R1 preset is a file which can be sent directly from the attached computer.

A few conclusions taken from the real feedback from artists and engineers:
Synergy R1 is not a typical universal reverb. Its value is in bringing new, unique colors.
The range of types of materials where you may use Synergy R1 is quite wide, but when the material appeals for adding color, Synergy works the best way.
Synergy could be clean and charming or aggressive and strongly colorful.
The story about Synergy R1 design
The reason to build our own device is simple: The software models of the vintage devices are very popular, but they utilize the wisdom of engineers of the previous era. We decided to make our own remarkable addition, creating a device for the next era, a device which will be so original that some next generation company will be interested to create a software model after thirty or more years :-)
We started building the analog saturation circuits as a standalone device, equipped with many potentiometers and switches. We have spent a significant time with our cooperatintg artists and engineers searching for values of these parameters to have the best possible sound color.
The digital part has a different story. We believe, the soul is in the algorithms. The quality of the hardware platform in Synergy was proven. It was able to run a quite comples automatic mixer with more than 1200 audio parameters. The board is so universal that it could run many kinds of digital processing, offering a bright future for improvements and more types of similar devices. Putting the digital and the analog parts together was a technical step, but we were surprised that we got much better sounds than we expected when we had both the parts separated.
